With more than a third of the world's population residing in China and India, these two nations are positioned to be powerful economic forces. Gary S. Becker, University Professor of Economics and Sociology, Chicago GSB and, Raghuram G. Rajan Joseph L. Gidwitz Professor of Finance, Chicago GSB, and Economic Counselor and Director of Research, International Monetary Fund will discuss factors behind recent growth in both countries, and explore strengths and weaknesses that will influence their long-term growth and role in the global economy. Edward A. Snyder, Dean and George P. Shultz Professor of Economics, Chicago GSB, will moderate this discussion.
