The Business Outlook for Europe panel discussion

Expansion of the EU. China's accession to the WTO. Continued Globalization. Political unrest around the world. All of these issues, and many more, will have a dramatic impact on the future of Europe in the world economy. How should European businesses and economic policy makers assess these risks and opportunities and position themselves for success? Our panel of experts will provide some context and suggestions for dealing with this constantly changing environment.

Some of the topics of discussion in today's panel are:

  • Current key issues in European business
  • What are the current constraints and opportunities in Europe?
  • How will Europe compare to the US and Asia in terms of productivity and growth?
  • What can European businesses do to position themselves appropriately for the future?

The business leaders discussing their perspectives on these topics are:

Kenneth S. Crews, Vice Chairman, Global Head of Energy & Power, UBS

Victor Pleskachevsky, Chariman, Property Committee of the State Duma,
The Federal Assembly of Russian Federation

Marvin Zonis, Professor Emeritus of Business Administration, Chicago GSB and
Principal, Marvin Zonis + Associates, Inc.

The discussion will be moderated by:
